In 2006, Zhu Hong held his first solo exhibition titled “Passion under the Sun”. In 2013, he held 2 major exhibitions in China titled “Portraits of Singapore” at Beijing Art Museum and the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Centre. All 3 exhibitions showcased a considerable number of watercolour paintings by the artist. Zhu Hong’s watercolour paintings are marked by the bold application of dramatic colours and free lines to construct the structure of buildings. The splashes of black tones nicely reflect the artist’s individuality and spirit of innovation.
