Morning Walk

Shanshui painters of China adopt an approach that showed an awareness of the macrocosm. There is no indication of the location of the scenery in the painting but rather the peaceful feeling and overall serene ambience of the mountain. This traditional ink painting depicts a beautiful scene of a village in the mountains. Right in the center of the composition, a man can be seen with his cow, shepherding a herd. The depiction of blossoming flowers adds a sweet touch to the painting.

Born in 1954, Wen Cheng Yi graduated from the Southwest University College of Fine Arts. He has been a professional artist for 42 years.
