Working and living in Singapore, local artist Tung Yue Nang paints beautiful scenes of iconic places in Singapore with his detailed style of painting. This painting was part of a selection of artworks that was on show at Tung Yue Nang solo exhibition held at Cape of Good Hope Art Gallery in 2014. Titled “Silence” that showcase revolved around the motion of envisioning famous and bustling places in Singapore in a quiet ambience with the absence of passersby. Instead, the focus was places on the portrayal of buildings and architecture at location.
Tung Yue Nang was awarded the first price in the ink painting category at the Annual Dr Tan Tze Chor Art Awards in 2002, 2014 and 2019.
